Board of Regents name five finalists for interim °×С½ãÍõÖÐÍõ¿ª½±½á¹û president

FAIRBANKS -- The University of Alaska Board of Regents has named five finalists for the interim president of the °×С½ãÍõÖÐÍõ¿ª½±½á¹û. Over the next few days, regents will interview all five candidates and make a final decision on July 14.

The finalists include: Acting President Michelle Rizk, former °×С½ãÍõÖÐÍõ¿ª½±½á¹ûF Interim Chancellor Dana Thomas, current Chancellors Cathy Sandeen [°×С½ãÍõÖÐÍõ¿ª½±½á¹ûA] and Daniel White [°×С½ãÍõÖÐÍõ¿ª½±½á¹ûF], and Director of the Division of Legislative Finance Pat Pitney. Each of the candidates was considered against the attributes approved by the board as well as Board of Regents policies that govern the president’s role. Regents will conduct interviews in executive session with each finalist beginning today and continuing on July 13, with an anticipated announcement of the interim president July 14.
